I am very happy cause in few days I will be able to have my first meeting with all my friends who will help me in the arrangements to promote our site in Egypt I feel it will take some time to do this but I am fully ensuthiastic to do it wish me luck

One of the people who attended the TakingITGlobal Open Session was Dr. Samir Eliesh who is the Executive Director of the National Council for Population Development supporting NGO's working in this field. He was really interested seeing to see me take the lead among Egyptian youth to explore this kind of high-tech idea.

He said that he would support me in my efforts and invited Jennifer and Michael to a meeting at their offices in order to discuss how we might be able to work together. NCPD is organizing a Youth Forum that is coming up soon. They are interested in finding ways to incorporate the TakingITGlobal Country Site for Egypt into the program.

This is a picture of all of us who attended the meeting which was held on Saturday September 14th at 8pm.

Jennifer had arranged a meeting with someone by the name of Mehdi Majidi who is working on a project to help Egypt become more competitive. I was invited to attend the lunch meeting so that we could discuss some of our project plans.

While I was attending the TakingITGlobal Open Session at YES - I was listening to stories that members were sharing from around the world - though I didn't find any Egyptian among them. I was wondering if there was a coordinator here in Egypt so I wrote a letter and gave it to Michelle and she gave it to Jennifer.

Once Jenny read the letter she said 'Yes! it would be great to have you as the coordinator! And you are the only female coordinator here at the conference. People will be inspired to hear from you. Why don't you say a few words to express how you are feeling'

I accepted her offer and announced that I would willing to take on the role as the Coordinator for the TakingITGlobal Country site in Egypt.

Now I feel like this is my responsibility to organize the Egyptian TakingITGlobal Country Site. I really wish everybody interested can contact me and we can have a very good start to do something good for the country.

I first met Michelle in front of the Open Session where Nick from Australia was speaking in front of some people. I asked Michelle if she knows anything about anything here. She said that there were some people speaking about an interesting project. I was inspired by her so I went to the Open Session and I was very interested in what was being shared. She invited me to the TakingITGlobal presentation where other youth would be presenting.

This is how the story begins..

I really thought that I could be one of those nice people doing this very nice project - and I could transmit this kind of inspiration to all of my colleagues who are really interested in making a new promising future to this wonderful country.
